Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 large carrot, sliced
- 8 oz egg noodles or spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. **Cook the Noodles:**
- Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain, toss with 1 teaspoon sesame oil, and set aside.
2. **Prepare the Beef:**
- In a bowl, combine the beef slices with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, and a pinch of pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
3. **Cook the Vegetables:**
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and carrots, stir-fry for 3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
4. **Cook the Beef:**
- Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the skillet. Sear the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
5. **Make the Sauce:**
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in beef broth, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, oyster sauce, and 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with water. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
6. **Combine Everything:**
- Add the beef, broccoli, and carrots back to the skillet. Stir until everything is coated in the sauce. Add the cooked noodles and toss until well combined.
7. **Serve:**
- Plate the noodles with the beef and broccoli on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
